Process Valves

Process valves covers the widest range of isolation valves available on the market. Flowserve Australia has an extensive range of process valves that can suit the simplest to the more demanding service.

The flanged ball valve is a variation of the basic ball valve design and incorporates dimensional flange details that conform to the standards developed to support the global industrial process market. The flanged design offers the product flexibility to cater for significantly larger sizes and pressures and meets the requirements of more demanding process service conditions.

The 3 piece ball valve has been an integral part of the industrial market place for over 50 years. The design incorporates the functionality of ¼ turn operation, low turning effort and the ease of maintenance. The valve is generally used for isolation applications and utilizes a ball, located between 2 formed seats, to provide isolation, of the flowing media within the piping system.

Butterfly valves are generally manufactured in two basic forms, lined butterfly valves and high performance butterfly valves. The lined butterfly valve utilizes a resilient liner to act as both the valves seat and the body and stem seals. This design is excellent for low pressure applications particularly in the water industry. The High Performance Butterfly Valve incorporates more rigid seat materials and design features that allows the valve to be used in isolation and modulating applications and work at significantly higher pressures and temperatures.
Lined valves are used in applications where aggressive and corrosive chemicals can limit a standard designed valves performance. The design of this range of valve included ball, plug and diaphragm variations. The design incorporates a rubber or fluoropolymer liner that isolates the flowing media from the valves metal components. The design of this type of valve includes isolation, mixing and diverter designs.
The lubricated plug valve has developed from a generally simple ¼ turn valve design that incorporates a pressure containing valve body into which a tapered or cylindrical plug is inserted. The valves design lends itself to difficult services such as high pressure drops, abrasive slurry applications and an installation where absolute tight shut off is required. This design incorporates the use of sealant that injected into the valve to reduce the turning effort and assist in facilitating a positive isolation.

Sleeved plug valves are derived from the basis of a lubricated plug valve. This design incorporates a fluoropolymer sleeve, inserted into the valve body, which acts as the valve seat and also the bearing surface supporting the valve plug. This design, like the lined products, is used in corrosive and difficult chemical services and is available in isolation, mixing, diverting and modulating service variations.

Forged and cast steel gate, globe and check valves are a range of metal to metal sealing valves designed for installation in applications that include throttling, isolation and the prevention of reverse flow. The rugged construction of this range of valves provides extended service life in a wide range of pressure and temperature conditions.
