 Automax Valve Automation Systems
Flowserve's line of Automax valve automation systems
includes a broad range of rack & pinion, scotch-yoke
and electric actuators for mounting on quarter-turn
ball, plug and butterfly valves. The product range includes pneumatic, hydraulic, electric and manual operators to automate the process. The product portfolio is complemented with switchboxes, solenoid positioners and digital products to provide the tools to enhance the level of automation required.
Rack and pinion actuators are the most popular device for rotary automation and are available in a hard Anodised Aluminum housing for standard service or in Stainless Steel 316 housing for corrosive environments. For larger torque requirements, the Automax range of heavy duty Scotch yoke actuator provide the necessary thrust to operate large ball and butterfly valves. Such actuators can operate pneumatically or hydraulically with the added bonus of various overrides and fail safe systems.
In
addition to a wide variety of actuator styles, the
Automax product line offers a complete valve automation
package with a comprehensive range of positioners,
solenoid valves, NAMUR accessories, limit switches,
and engineered solutions to the user's mounting
hardware needs. With technology moving towards fieldbus
communication, Flowserve offers Automax smart switch
products for use with digital communications.
The Automax product line has a
cost-competitive offering of automation accessories
and electric actuators known for their accurate
and reliable performance. The Automax limit switch
has both visual and remote electrical indication
of valve position, and is available in aluminum
or nonmetallic housing. The Aviator switch design
utilizes an integrated solenoid valve in switchbox and can be
upgraded to include digital communications compatible
with fieldbus protocols.
Automax
positioners have advanced modular features with
pneumatic, electro-pneumatic or digital input. The
electric actuators are able to handle the torque
requirements of most general service applications,
and are available with double enveloping worm gears
for higher torque applications. Automax actuators
and accessories are available as separate components
or as part of an integrated quarter-turn valve automation
package.
